Now that Minor's products are ready-to-eat, expand your culinary freedom with layers of flavor that are food-safe for use in hot and cold applications. From aiolis and dressings to sauces and toppings, Minor's bases and flavor concentrates are Ready to Flavor your next inspired creation.

Craft a burger or sandwich concept featuring your signature condiment using one Minor’s Ready to Flavor base or flavor concentrate and you could win a food tour of one of America’s six top culinary destinations.

How to Enter

To enter, submit your original burger or sandwich concept featuring a signature condiment using at least one (1) qualifying product from the list of eligible Minor’s Ready to Flavor bases and flavor concentrates. The one (1) required Minor’s Ready to Flavor product must remain unheated in the preparation of the signature condiment (sauce or topping) to demonstrate the Ready to Flavor advantage. The sandwich and any additional accoutrements may be cooked, but the signature condiment featuring the Minor’s Ready to Flavor product must be uncooked (i.e., cold signature chipotle mayo on hot burger with sautéed onions).

JUDGING

One grand prize winner and three runners-up will be selected by a judging panel of Minor’s chefs and foodservice professionals. The recipe with the top overall score from Round 2 will be named the grand prize winner. All four winners will be announced on flavormeansbusiness.com/flavorexpedition with posted recipes. Winners will be announced in the month of December, 2017.

Round 1

All qualifying entries received during the contest period will be judged based on the following judging criteria:


• Creative Use of Minor’s Products (50%)
• Uniqueness (40%)
• Operational Efficiency (10%)

Round 2

The top ten (10) highest scoring entries will be prepared and judged by the same panel of judges based on the following judging criteria:


• Flavor (50%)
• Creative Use of Minor’s Products (20%)
• Uniqueness (20%)
• Operational Efficiency (10%)

PRIZES

Grand Prize Winner

The Grand Prize winner will receive a canvas print of their recipe plus a trip for two to one of six top U.S. culinary destinations of their choosing: Austin, TX; Charleston, SC; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Portland, OR; or San Francisco, CA. Prize package includes economy airfare for two, accommodations for four nights, and a curated trend-spotting ‘food tour’ providing exposure to the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of the food scene in the selected city.

Runners-Up

Three runners-up will receive a professionally styled and photographed canvas print of their submitted recipe. Winners will be announced December 2017.
